A new spot to score pizza and more has opened up shop in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Downtown, called The Urban Oven, is located at 700 S Flower St.

The Urban Oven got its start as a food truck, but owner Scott Tremonti recently moved his business into its first brick-and-mortar location inside The Bloc, a new mixed-use complex in DTLA.

Fans of the truck will be glad to know that Termonti has kept the menu essentially the same, featuring wood-fired pizzas, shared plates like meatballs and salads, and more.

For the pizza menu, expect to see personal sized pies like "Tre Verde" with kale, green onion, and asparagus; "The Dragon" with pomodoro, mozzarella, pepperoni, crimini, and jalapeños; and prosciutto leek with ontina, crimini, and thyme.

Rounding out the menu are sandwiches and a variety of craft beer and wine.

The Urban Oven has just one review on Yelp, which gives it a five-star rating thus far.

John H., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on November 1st, said: "Great pizza and service! The gluten-free pizza is amazing and and the arugula salad is even better."

The Urban Oven is now open at 700 S Flower St., so stop in to try it for yourself.
