The California Highway Patrol issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department, according to NBC Los Angeles. An emergency alert notice from GovOneStop confirms the same timeline, stating that Calderon was taken from Los Angeles at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday.

Conflicting Details on a Possible Suspect
Accounts of the case differ on whether a suspect description exists. The NBC Los Angeles report states plainly that no suspect description was provided. The GovOneStop alert notice, however, describes the suspect as an unknown Black female approximately 20 years old wearing unknown dark clothing. Hoodline could not independently resolve which account is accurate, and no primary law enforcement statement was available to confirm either version.
Investigators believe the vehicle involved is a gray or silver 2019 Toyota RAV4 bearing California license plate 9ETY017, per the same outlet's reporting. As reported by KTLA, the girl was abducted in Los Angeles according to police, with the Avenue 49 and Figueroa Street area located in the northeast part of the city.
Alert Covers Four Southern California Counties
The Amber Alert was broadcast across Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, and San Bernardino counties, the station notes, reaching millions of phones and roadside signs throughout the region.
