A new spot to score burgers, sandwiches and more has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called Napoleon Burger, the new addition is located at 4229 Main St. in Manayunk.
Napoleon Burger recently moved into larger digs down the street, in the former Union Taco space. It features a simple menu, with a portion of proceeds going to the Anti-Bully Squad, a charity that fights youth bullying. The idea to open a burger restaurant in partnership with a socially conscious cause came from owner Nick Farina's 11-year-old son.
There are only six items on the menu, with the Napoleon Burger at the forefront. It comes with pickles, cheese, onions, and "Napoleon Sauce," but you can order it "double stacked" or customize it with toppings like avocado, bacon, caramelized onions or sautéed mushrooms.
Rounding the menu out is a veggie burger, fried chicken, crinkle-cut fries, and three varieties of milkshakes. (You can check out the full menu here.)
The fresh arrival has gotten good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
PhillyFood F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 3rd, said: "Yoooo come try this spot out!!! Good cause (portion of the proceeds go to anti-bullying charities), great food and such friendly service. Burgers were juicy, and fries were well-seasoned."
And Elaina K. said: "Delicious food!! And a portion of the proceeds goes towards anti-bullying campaigns. Stopped in here on a whim driving through Manayunk. We had delicious burgers and really really solid French fries with a great cheese sauce!"
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Napoleon Burger is open Tuesday–Saturday from noon–8pm. (It's closed on Sunday and Monday.)
