A new spot to score coffee, tea and more has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 124 5th Ave N. in Cascade, the fresh arrival is called QED Coffee.
This new small-batch roaster—which has another outpost in Mt. Baker Ridge—specializes in drinks made with single-origin coffee beans, eclectic light bites, and gluten-free pastries.
For coffee drinks, expect to see traditional beverages like espressos, macchiatos, cappuccinos, and lattes. There's also a dairy and soy-free mocha, cold-brew coffee, Cascadia chai, and organic kombucha.
For eats, look for breakfast tacos, sandwiches, salads, and vegan donuts from Mighty O. On the weekends, there are sweet and savory Japanese-style donuts, the latter stuffed with beef curry. (You can check out the full menu here.)
QED Coffee has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Lily S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 28th, said: "(jumps up and down) QED HAS A SECOND LOCATION, FOR THE LOVE OF PETE! That's right, my beloved coffee shop in Mt. Baker has another location in downtown Seattle, right by the monorail."
And James S. said: "Woooo doggy! My home away from home on Mt. Baker has a new baby brother! Radical new space and superb local artisan designs surround you while you sup on the best coffee in Seattle, bar none!"
Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. QED Coffee is open weekdays from 7am–6pm, and weekends from 8am–6pm.
