A new spot offering chicken wings and burgers has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 7620 Katy Fwy. in Spring Branch East, the newcomer is called Big City Wings.
Originally founded in Houston and revived in 2015, Big City has since blossomed in many spots around the area; this new location, in the Marq'E entertainment center, is its fifth. Like the other outposts, it specializes in chicken wings with a variety of sauces, from garlic parmesan to spicy ranch to honey citrus.
The menu also features burgers (including a chili cheddar burger with Fritos), loaded baked potatoes, and chicken and waffles. Big-screen TVs fill the space, showing a full selection of sporting events.
Big City Wings has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
Anthony G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on December 14th, said: "Excellent service. Food was hot and fresh upon serving. Wings are big, with plenty of meat, and burger was big and juicy."
Yelper Cori S. added: “I was lucky to be greeted outside in the breezeway by someone directing me into Big City Wings. Boy, am I glad! I discovered an amazing beer by a local brewer (8th Wonder) and incredible wings."
And Manny Q. said: "This new location has everything: a great environment, a bunch of TVs, and a great selection of beers. You can't go wrong coming here for a good time."
