A new spot to score Mexican food, seafood and more has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Mariscos Sirena, the fresh addition is located at 3658 W Lawrence Ave. (between Lawndale Ave & Monticello Ave) in Albany Park.
This new spot—located in the former T & B Grill space, which closed October 21st—specializes in traditional Mexican fare, with an emphasis on seafood dishes. It also continues to offer many of the favorites found on the menu of its former occupant.
Expect to see items like carne ala tampiqueña with enchiladas, aguachiles de camarón with avocado and citrus, huachinango Nayarit (whole red snapper steamed with chilies and veggies), piña rellena, a variety of taco options, and more.
With a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Style By Marlene J., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 18th, said: "Food and service is amazing! Must try! Was sad to see T&B go, and turns out they had a new concept that does not disappoint! They also kept a few of their previous classics."
Yelper M O. added: “Was sad to hear T & B was closing, I thought for good, but turns out they were reconceptualizing and opened Mariscos Sirena. The menu offers great new options, which include the huachinango Nayarit.”
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Mariscos Sirena is open Tuesday–Thursday from 3pm–10pm, Friday from 3pm–11pm, Saturday from 11am–11pm, and Sunday from 11am–10pm. (It's closed on Monday.)
