If you've got Mediterranean on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called Al Basch Chicken, the newcomer is located at 7311 W. Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood.

Al Basch Chicken has been around for a while, but recently moved into new digs on Sunset. It serves up fast, casual Mediterranean fare like shawarma, kabobs, salads, sandwiches and more.

On the menu, look for dishes like chicken shawarma, chicken kabob, beef kafta kabab, and chicken, all served with rice, hummus, salad, pita bread and garlic sauce.

If you're looking for something on the healthy side, there's a veggie combo plate with falafel, hummus, baba ghanouj, salad, grape leaves, tabbouleh and pita. Veggie lovers can also opt for a Mediterranean salad with chopped greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, and onions, tossed with lemon juice, olive oil and sumac.

Rounding your meal out are sides like fried kibbeh and yogurt dip, spinach pie, French fries, and baklava for dessert. (You can check out the full menu here.)

With a five-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, Al Basch Chicken is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Mike F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on December 11th, said: "These guys ran my favorite shawarma spot for years, and their new spot is even better. The chicken is juicy and perfectly seasoned—A+ shawarma. A great takeout spot and super friendly."

Yelper Moe A. added: “The service was amazingly incredible. As I walked into the location, I was handed a menu for review. My first impression of the decor was very nice. Everything looked clean."

And Jamie A. said: "Best kabobs I've had in a while. Super fast and friendly service. For the area, it is a really nice addition. Although it is hidden in the corner, it's not hard to find. My neighbor suggested it to me."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Al Basch Chicken is open daily from 11am–10pm.
