There's a brand-new wine bar in town, serving New American fare. Located at 2704 Polk St. in EaDo, the new arrival is called Nancy's Hustle.

This newcomer is the latest venture from executive chef Jason Vaughan (formerly of L20 Chicago and Hogsalt Hospitality Group Chicago), and his business partner Sean Jensen. It features an eclectic menu with elevated takes on American and global cuisine.

Expect to see a variety of what the restaurant bills as "medium plates," like broiled raclette over roasted potatoes and tiny pickles; lamb tartare with green olives and almonds on a sesame seed crusted flat bread; and Turkish dumplings with spicy tomato vinaigrette, labneh, and lamb jus.

Switching over to the larger plate section of the menu, look for dishes like sourdough tagliatelle with burrata, honey, pistachios, and crispy Brussels sprouts; roasted snapper with charcoal-roasted beets, fennel aioli, and grilled lemon; and rabbit leg confit and bacon-wrapped rabbit loin with braised beans and sage.

Rounding things out are desserts, such as a rosemary lime tart with pine nuts and meringue; and Parmesan cheesecake with black pepper honey. (You can check out the full menu here.)

With a 4.5-star rating out of 23 reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival has already made a good impression.

Amanda G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on December 18th, said: "My husband and I live in EaDo and have been excited to see if Nancy's Hustle had the potential to be 'our spot.' It definitely will be! The ambiance is great."

And Amy R. said: "I can not say enough good things about Nancy's Hustle! Ambiance is quaint but not stuffy. Very quirky yet modern vibe. The bites: oh my goodness. Everything we ordered was amazing."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Nancy's Hustle is open Tuesday–Sunday from 5pm–midnight. (It's closed on Monday.)
