If seafood are what you're after, look no further than this new business. The new addition, called Captain D's, is located at 5854 Hwy 6 N.

This new spot is the latest addition to the fast seafood eatery, which has 13 other Texas outposts and hundreds of locations throughout the country, according to its website. The new restaurant replaces Church's Chicken, which closed early last year.

On the menu, expect to see dishes like batter-dipped fish, hand-breaded catfish filets, blackened tilapia, grilled shrimp skewers, and breaded crispy chicken fingers. Plates come with hush puppies and a choice of sides like mac and cheese, fried okra and coleslaw.

Look for a wild Alaskan salmon salad and the "Captain Sandwich" with two batter-dipped fish filets, tarter sauce and greens on a hoagie bun. (Take a look at the full menu here.)

Captain D's has gotten decent reviews thus far, with a three-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Gary L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on January 17th, said: "Today, [I] tried this new place, and for the most part it was good. The fish was flakey inside and [the] crust very crunchy. I also liked the coleslaw with some of the crunchy bits. I'll eat here again."

Yelper Todd M. added: “If you're gonna do fast food seafood, this is the place! I feel the fish fillets are better than LJS, and and the sides are actually pretty good.”

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Captain D's is open Friday and Saturday from 10:30am–11pm, and Sunday–Thursday from 10:30am–10pm.
