A new chicken shop has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 749 9th Ave. (between 51st St & 50th St) in Hell's Kitchen, the new arrival is called Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken.

This is the newest addition to the Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken family, which has another outpost in the East Village and two in Las Vegas.

The menu features a variety of chicken combinations, including wings, drumsticks, tenders and breasts served with coleslaw and fries.

If you're looking for something different, look for the "Beak to Butt," which includes crispy necks, backs, hearts and gizzards, served with hot sauce and pickled peppers; "The Rancher" sandwich with bacon and ranch dressing; and a grilled chicken sandwich with a house special sauce.

There's a variety of sides on offer, too, including spicy cabbage slaw, fries and grilled corn with bacon. (Take a look at the full menu here.)

With a 4.5-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp so far, the new chicken shop has already made a good impression.

Sara K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on February 22nd, said: "My boyfriend and I wanted to stop in as it's right around the corner from where we live. When he bit into the fried chicken, he claimed that it was like no taste he has ever experienced before—in a good way—and he is a food snob."

Yelper Jordan Z. added: “Decent fry chicken! Today is its opening day. Ordered 'The Royal Wing,' [which] comes with a huge amount of fries. Chicken is so delicious and a little spicy.”

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken is open daily from 11am–2am.
