Located next to Fairway, Sur La Route is a grab-and-go bakery and café that offers artisanal pastries, breads and light breakfast, lunch and dinner fare.

"We started Sur La Route because we believe New Yorkers shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality for convenience," the business says on its website. "Stop in and indulge with quick, classic cuisine for the New Yorker on the go."

On the menu, look for smoked salmon with cream cheese and capers, available on a bagel, wrap, roll or croissant; a prosciutto, mozzarella and basil sandwich on a baguette; and pan-style pizza by the slice. (Take a look at the full menu here.)

Diners can also create their own sandwiches and salads.

With a four-star Yelp rating out one review, Sur La Route has been getting positive attention.

Yelper Marianne W., who reviewed Sur La Route on March 15th, wrote, "I love this new pastry shop connected to the Fairway Market on East 86th Street. The awning says café, but don't look for seats. It's grab and go. They open early for bagels and more."

Yelper Francisco A., who reviewed York Avenue Kitchen on March 25th, wrote, "The location just opened about a week ago and I've already been to it three times. The menu is typical diner food with a lot of options, great taste too. The prices are very comfortable for an Upper East Side location and the people are very friendly."

And S. Z. wrote, "This place exceeds the meaning of your local diner. The service was amazing! The staff was extremely friendly and the food was fantastic and made to perfection. The owner, Andrew was so welcoming and so informative when it came to recommending items on the menu."

Park Slope's Elegant Barber Shop recently opened a new location in the Upper East Side, offering haircuts, beard trims (with razor), hot towel face shaves and more.

"People feel very unsure when it comes to a new barber shop," said owner Maksim S. on the business' Yelp page, of the Park Slope opening in 2014. "But when they experienced the service and saw the quality of the haircuts, they kept coming back, that's how I knew that I succeeded."

"It really motivated and me inspired to open more locations in the New York City area," he continued. "Life is not perfect, but your haircuts can be. Keep it handsome!"

With a five-star Yelp rating out of two reviews on Yelp, Elegant Barber Shop has been getting positive attention.
