St. Patrick's Day falls on a Saturday this year, which means some drunken debauchery is likely a given in many parts of town. But whether you want to embark on a raucous pub crawl, laugh at an Irish comedy night, or keep it low-key with corned beef and wine, there's a party out there for you. Here's what's on the docket around L.A. this weekend.
Santa Monica St. Patrick's Pub Crawl
If you're looking for a wild night out with friends, look no further than Santa Monica's St. Pat's pub crawl, with a variety of local bars offering $3 beers, $4 well drinks, and $5 shots for the occasion. Register at Circle Bar, and you'll get a map of all the participating bars and what they're serving up, as well as tips on where to hydrate and refuel along the way. Don't forget to take a cab or bring a designated driver, and to wear green (unless you want to get booed).
The date: Friday 3/16, 5-10pm, or Saturday 3/17, 1-10pm
The location: Check in at Circle Bar, 2926 Main St., Santa Monica
The price: $17 for singles, or $45 for a group of four
Covina's Rooftop St. Paddy's Festival

If you've never partied in a parking structure before, consider this your invitation. The Covina Downtown Merchants Association is taking over the local parking garage to stage this festival "for lovers of craft beer and Irish culture," promising "something for everyone" across three levels of fun. Expect bands, games, airbrush tattoos, a selfie booth with props, and plenty of craft beer and food.
The date: Saturday 3/17, 6-10pm
The location: Downtown Covina Parking Structure, 124 East College St., Covina
The price: $25 for a non-alcoholic drink ticket, food voucher, and swag bag; $35 for two beer tickets or 10 beer tastings, a food ticket, a swag bag, and a souvenir mug
Just My Luck: A St. Patrick's Comedy Night
Storytelling and comedy are a big part of the Irish tradition, and at this special pre-St. Paddy's event on Friday night, comedians both Irish and non-Irish will relate their best stories from the St. Patrick's trenches, along with live music. Performers will include Veronica Kwiatkowski, Christine King, Brandon Lawrence, Andy Southern, Renaldo Evans, Kalea Mcneil, Nicci B, Deven Bouchet, Paul Jarius, Justin Glockler, Christina Morador, and Trent Jones, and the venue also has mini-golf, pool, basketball and darts for added fun.
The date: Friday 3/16, 8:30-10:30pm
The location: Busby's, 5364 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles
The price: $17
St. Patty's Dinner and Music at Urban Press Winery

Want to honor the spirit of the holiday, but skip the rowdy partying? Burbank winery Urban Press is hosting a sophisticated St. Patrick's Day dinner, with corned beef (done in the style of Montreal smoked meat), cabbage, potatoes, and of course, a little wine. Live jazz will create a sophisticated atmosphere for celebrating.
The date: Saturday 3/17, 7:30-10:30pm
The location: Urban Press Winery, 316 North San Fernando Blvd., Burbank
The price: $15 for dinner (wine is extra)
Downtown LA St. Patrick's Pub Crawl & Beer Garden

Finally, there's DTLA's St. Patrick's event, which might be the biggest blowout of them all. Centered around the massive Los Angeles Biergarten, which is offering 100+ brews on tap, DJs, a photo booth, and more, the party will spread to 10 more bars in the neighboring blocks, all of which are offering everything from Guinness to green beer at a discount (with free welcome shots at many of the venues). After the crawl ends, your ticket will also get you discounted entry to a number of DTLA nightclubs.
The date: Saturday 3/17, 1-9pm
The location: Check in at Los Angeles Biergarten, 750 South Broadway, Los Angeles
The price: $42
