If you love to eat and drink, this week offers a great chance to explore the world of NYC food and beverage. From a coffee cupping to a National Beer Day bar crawl to a pizza-making class for kids, there's plenty to explore and enjoy if you're hungry for something new.

Learn the fundamentals of gorgeous plating

"Have you ever swooned over beautifully plated dishes from the likes of Eleven Madison Park, Aska, and Noma?" ask the organizers of this event. "Join us as we learn the art and technique of plating with Chef Jenny Dorsey, a culinary consultant and entrepreneur, former Chopped contestant, Beat Bobby Flay winner, and founder of the supper club, Wednesdays. We’ll also be joined by food photographer Petar Mitrovic, who will teach us how to capture the essence of each dish through our cameras and phones. After all, did you really plate a dish if you didn’t post it to the ‘gram?"

The date: Saturday 4/7, 12-2:30pm
The location: Kitchen NYC, 306 West 51st St., Ground Floor, New York
The price: $76 early bird, $86 general admission
