A new cocktail bar and Mexican spot has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Tacos Tequila Whiskey, the fresh arrival is located at 215 E. 7th Ave.
According to Nation Restaurant News, the new spot comes courtesy of Kevin Morrison, who has been delighting Denverites with tacos since 2010. Beginning with a food truck and then with his restaurant Pinche Taqueria, Morrison now has four locations across two states, with another possible location opening in 2019.
Along with classic street taco options like carnitas and asada, look for a variety of less traditional offerings, such as Shrimp & Scallop Xnic-Pec with pan-roasted shrimp and scallops, Yucatan pico de gallo, avocado crema and lime; and the Taco Estilo Abril, consisting of grilled cotija cheese, roasted chile poblano, creamed chipotle corn and sour cream.

With a four-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition has gotten a good response.
Eye W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 14th, said: "Best fish tacos I've ever had (and I've tried them in a lot of places)! Cute place! Small, cozy, with open walls for warm days. Fun, friendly, entertaining, attentive service."
Yelper Ritsuko W. added: “Variety of tacos on the menu is very good and creative. They all are tasty. Quick and attentive servers. "
And Anonymous C. said: "The new location is AMAZING! The staff is super attentive without hovering or acting fussy. The elevated street tacos are fantastic! Especially the pollo agave and award winning pork belly!
