Pan-Asian favorite Pepper Asian Bistro has expanded to the Highland neighborhood with a second location. The new Pepper Asian Bistro II at 3759 Lipan St. (and 38th Avenue) has a full bar, outdoor patio and casual, modern vibe.

Owner James Zheng, who has operated the original location on East Colfax Avenue for four years, is offering mostly Chinese fare along with a variety of East Asian dishes, reports Westword.

For a taste of what to expect, here are a few of the menu standouts: Thai curries, basil fried rice, mango chicken and Mongolian beef, pork or eggplant. Round out your meal with dessert offerings like mochi ice cream, chocolate cake and mango sticky rice.

Pepper Asian Bistro II has already attracted a following, with a five-star rating out of 18 reviews on Yelp.

Ben B., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on March 30, said, "Glad a nice Asian restaurant is now in the neighborhood!  They have a nice, open patio, which is where we sat. Very trendy inside dining area with a long bar. Service was very good. We look forward to becoming regulars!"

And Sean L. said, "Anyone that has driven by this location has seen it change a few times over the last two years. Hopefully Pepper is here to stay. Very friendly staff and the food was very fresh and tasty."

Head on over to check it out: Pepper Asian Bistro II is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on weekdays, noon–10 p.m. on Saturday and noon–9:30 p.m. on Sunday.
