A new spot to score desserts — not to mention freshly baked cookies — has opened for business on Capitol Hill. Located at 1309 H St. NE. (between N 13th St. & N Linden Ct.), the new addition is called Insomnia Cookies.

The eatery has a dozen varieties of cookies, including chocolate chunk, M&M, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter chip and more. It also sells cookie cakes, ice cream, ice cream sandwiches and brownies a la mode. It also delivers until 3am — hence the nod to insomnia.

Insomnia Cookies has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.

Katie A., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 7, said, "Cookies are served warm, so definitely give it a try! I got snickerdoodle, which was just enough sugar to satisfy my craving. I would come back for more of those."

And Kim C. said, "Warm, moist, and tasty. What more can you want in a cookie?"

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Insomnia Cookies is open from 9–3 a.m. on weekdays and 11–3 a.m. on weekends.
