Tako Korean BBQ Tacos & More

Tako Korean BBQ Tacos & More is a Korean-Mexican fusion spot offering tacos and other creative combinations.

On the menu, look for kimchi quesadillas, bulgogi tacos and nachos topped with Korean-style short ribs, slaw, salsa, sour cream and house-made sauce.

With an average 4.5-star rating out of the first nine reviews on Yelp, it's off to a strong start. 

Seth H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 21, said: "The pork tacos were tasty and the prices are great. The portion sizes are good for the price. The staff is friendly."

Yelper Aminah M. added: “Great portion sizes. Nice staff ... everything looked so tasty, I ended up ordering too much, and it was delicious.”

Tako Korean BBQ Tacos & More is open from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)

Poke Bop

The new counter-service Poke Bop is the second Dallas outpost for the eatery, with another making its debut soon in El Paso. 

The restaurant features build-your-own poké bowls, sushi burritos and a boba bar filled with both boozy and alcohol-free options. Shrimp and chicken poké bowls are also available for pint-sized diners. (Check out the menu here.)

With a four-star rating out of 30 reviews on Yelp, Poke Bop has been getting positive attention.

Yelper Ted G., who reviewed Poke Bop on April 24, wrote: "Amazing service and extremely fresh. This poké is comparable to what I've had in Hawaii and Japan. It is unbelievable how great the bowl I had was. I look forward to going back tomorrow!"

Zaap Kitchen Lao & Thai Street Eats

Zaap Kitchen Lao & Thai Street Eats is a Laotian and Thai fusion eatery between Lovers and Loop 12.

The new spot comes courtesy of parent company Sabaidee Lao & Thai Street Food on Lemmon Avenue, Eater Dallas reports. The restaurant offers a fast-casual dining experience and a selection of street eats from both Laos and Thailand. 

On the menu, look for Thai favorites such as pad see ew (a stir-fried noodle dish), tom yum and tom kha soups, and curry in all varieties. Laotian fare includes riblets, fried rice, pork shoulder and more. 

Zaap Kitchen Lao & Thai Street Eats currently holds 4.5 stars out of 94 reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Yelper Deanna S., who was one of the first users to visit Zaap Kitchen Lao & Thai Street Eats on May 3, wrote: "We had amazing food and convo! Pad Thai with shrimp — yum! Red curry with chicken, also delish."

"This place is dangerous for me," added Yelper Ivy J. "It's SO good that I'm concerned that I'll be here everyday."

Looking for higher-end fare? Musume offers contemporary Asian cuisine and the state's largest premium saké program with over 125 selections including saké on tap. The restaurant features an elevated sushi bar and private dining room that seats up to 40 people. 

The sushi menu includes yellowtail serrano, farmers market sashimi and more. For dinner, look forward to steamed buns, grilled lamb lollipops and roasted sea bass with shiitake mushroom risotto.  

Musume's current rating of four stars out of 44 reviews on Yelp indicates the newcomer is receiving solid feedback from clientele.

Yelper Mia D., who reviewed Musume on May 6, wrote: "We came here for a girls night and glad we had RSVP'd as this place was very full! Lighting, ambiance, service and food was incredible."

"Did I really just have the best sushi in my life in Dallas?" asked Yelper Brandon C. "We sat at the bar and let the sushi chefs curate sushi and sashimi for us. The chef that day was hilarious and made us feel like family. Our trip here was absolutely amazing."

Kuai - Asian Kitchen

Kuai - Asian Kitchen is an Asian fusion, Chinese and Japanese spot with more than a decade spent as an underground restaurant serving downtown Dallas. 

Billing itself as a healthy and quick destination — specifically for workers on their lunch hour — this eatery serves up fast food in the form of bowls, dumplings, hot soup, salads, wraps and more, Eater Dallas reports. With a 4.5-star rating out of 55 reviews on Yelp, Kuai - Asian Kitchen has been getting positive attention.
