A new nail salon has opened up shop in Old Town. The new Meraki On King at 320 King St., Suite 100, is the second location for the salon, with its sister location situated just around the corner on Queen Street.

At the original Salon Meraki, owner Kathleen Le leads a team of professionals that offer everything from basic cuts and brow waxing to hand-painted balayage highlights. The new addition on King Street is focused solely on nails, providing manicures, pedicures and gel polish, reports Alexandria Living, and using products from OPI, Lalicious and Deborah Lippmann.

The fresh addition has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a solid five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Charleen H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 9, said, "The first time I walked into the Queen Street location of Meraki I was treated like a queen. Now I have been at the Meraki On King location and continue to feel like royalty. The owner, Kathleen, has done a tremendous job with both salons to give customers a high-end spa experience and pampering we expect when having a mani and pedi."

"The place is such a peaceful oasis — even their bathroom is beautiful and soothing!" added Yelper Dominique T. "Extremely clean and great music playing."
