If cakes are what you're after, look no further than this new business. The fresh brick-and-mortar addition to Georgetown, called Deep Sea Sugar & Salt, is located at 6601 Carleton Ave. S.

Thanks to a Kickstarter campaign bringing in over $37,000 in funds, Deep Sea Sugar & Salt has expanded out of its Airstream trailer and into the space that formerly housed the Carleton Avenue Grocery, Eater reports. The trailer will also remain open.

Helmed by Charlie Dunmire, who's behind the artistic creations, Deep Sea Sugar & Salt offers 13 flavors that are available as a 6-inch cake ($45), 9-inch cake ($65) or a dozen cupcakes ($45). Flavors include the unique London Fog, composed of Earl Grey cake, honey, bergamot mascarpone cream and cream cheese frosting, and classic favorites such as chocolate salted caramel, s'mores and pistachio lemon, among others. Check out the full menu.

Deep Sea Sugar & Salt has made a good impression, with a 4.5-star rating out of 40 reviews on its Yelp page, which also covers its trailer location.

Marie B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 20, said, "Beyond five stars for this Shoreliner to brave construction and Mariners game traffic to head to Georgetown for cake. Not just any cake, but cake made by Charlie."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Deep Sea Sugar & Salt is open from 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
