A new sports bar has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The new addition, called Carolina Ale House, is located at 7404 Waverly Walk Ave.

With a motto of "food, sports [and] fun," Carolina Ale House has multiple locations from Virginia to Florida. This is the second outpost in Charlotte; the first is in Uptown.

The sports bar specializes in classic American pub fare, including burgers, tacos and wings. Look for the chicken and baby back rib combo, Caribbean fish tacos with mango salsa and the buffalo blue burger with Cajun ground beef and blue cheese crumbles. (Take a look at the full menu here.)

Carolina Ale House also has 72 beers on tap available, including local and craft beers. There are also beer flights for customers who would like to sample several brews. (Take a look at the full drinks menu here.)

The fresh arrival has made a decent impression thus far, with a 3-star rating out of 27 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Christina B. said, "Heard this place opened up and decided to give this new location a try. Love the location! Everything is close by and there is tons of shopping in the Waverly development. The place is decorated with sports memorabilia and other sports-themed decor. "

Jenn H. added, “Nice new restaurant in the Waverly development. They have a decent draft beer menu and beer prices are reasonable for the area. Food prices were appropriate.”

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Carolina Ale House is open daily from 11am–2am.
