Machete Tequila + Tacos
3570 E. Colfax Ave., Congress Park

Machete Tequila + Tacos is a bar and Mexican restaurant offering margaritas, tacos and more. The 3570 E. Colfax Avenue location is its third in Denver.
Taco aficionados can choose from fourteen kinds of tacos, including beef tripe, roasted beets, and lobster tail. (You can check out the full menu here.)
With a 3.5-star Yelp rating out 18 reviews, Machete Tequila + Tacos is still finding its way, but it's early days.
Yelper Tangia E., who reviewed Machete Tequila + Tacos on April 22, wrote, "The tacos are lit! Mexican style street tacos as they should be! Great flavor and the patio is wonderful."
"This location has a great patio area and a nice, large bar. It will be a perfect summer happy hour hangout for sure," Yelper Alisha K. said, but also warned, "The service was so slow! The restaurant generally seemed understaffed and disorganized."
Machete Tequila + Tacos is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday and Sunday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m.–midnight on Thursday, and 11 a.m.–1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Tacos Tequila Whiskey
215 E. 7th Ave., Governor's Park

Tacos Tequila Whiskey is also known as Pinche Tacos, the food truck turned Mexican spot and cocktail bar that won the Westword reader's choice for best Denver tacos in 2018. Chef Kevin Morrison's popular taco stop has opened a third Denver location in Governor's Park at 215 E. 7th Avenue.
Diners can expect a choice of tacos including tempura shrimp, pork belly, beef tongue, and grilled shiitake and crimini mushrooms. Tacos Tequila Whiskey also serves margaritas, a variety of cocktails, and housemade churros with a Mexican chocolate dipping sauce.
Tacos Tequila Whiskey's current Yelp rating of four stars out of 12 reviews indicates positive attention for the newcomer.
Yelper Ali L., who reviewed Tacos Tequila Whiskey on April 4, wrote, "Food was exactly the same quality, service was quick and attentive, and the space was colorful and airy. I came on a Monday early evening for happy hour (all day Monday in case you didn't know)."
And Yelper Edward G. wrote, "The presentation of the Chicken and Egg is lovely with a perfectly cooked sunny side up yolk shimmering and shaking over a mound of fried chicken, sweet potatoes, and poblano peppers. The roasted green chile hollandaise and scrambled eggs with the hash was delicious. "

Mr. Peralta Mariscos
3900 Osage St., Sunnyside

Mr. Peralta Mariscos is a Mexican spot, offering seafood, soups, tacos and more. It's located at 3900 Osage St. in Sunnyside and is the work of chef David Peralta.
Customers can choose from seafood options like the the breaded fried shrimp and fish tacos, or the Molcajete Power with shrimp, octopus, scallops, fish and calamari.
Mr. Peralta Mariscos currently holds five stars out of five reviews on Yelp, indicating excellent reviews in its early days.
Yelper Kacie S., who was one of the first users to visit Mr. Peralta Mariscos on March 23, said, "Friendly and fast service, family friendly, good prices, fresh delicious amazing tacos! We shared four tacos, chicken and chorizo. They were so good!"
Mari P. agreed, "I tried their camarones empanizados which included steamed broccoli, peppers and green beans with rice and a creamy chipotle sauce to accompany the breaded shrimp. The waitress was so kind and Mr. Peralta came and greeted us and shared some eating techniques with us."
"I had the Molcajete Deluxe and the sauce it comes with is delicious!" Yelper Brandon N. wrote, and recommended, "Dip the meats in the sauce or make a small taco and pour it on top. ... It's almost enough food for two people."

Bertha's Baja Bistro
900 Jersey St., Montclair

Bertha's Baja Bistro is an New-Mexican and American restaurant and bar, offering tacos, burgers, pasta, pizza and more. Located at 900 Jersey St. in Montclair, it is the brainchild of chef Jose Flores.
In addition to al pastor, fish and carne asada tacos, diners can nosh on fusion fare like the Umami Tsunami pizza, with marinated mushrooms, smoked gouda and candied bacon; or the Fiji burger, with a tuna patty, wasabi aioli, and Pacific pear slaw.
With a four-star rating out of 27 reviews on Yelp, Bertha's Baja Bistro has been getting positive attention.
Yelper Daryl G., who reviewed Bertha's Baja Bistro on April 23, wrote, "My favorites from the menu are the house-cured pastrami reuben, adult mac and cheese, carne asada tacos, poke salad, the Fiji, the Sunrise, and the adult grilled cheese! Try the off-menu carne asada pizza."

Cantina Laredo is a modern Mexican restaurant and bar originating in Dallas, Texas. The location at 1040 15th St. is its first in Denver.
Customers can expect Tex-Mex fare like nachos, quesadillas and burritos, as well as taco options like the ahi tuna with jicama ginger slaw, guacamole and red onion.
With a four-star rating out of 20 reviews on Yelp, Cantina Laredo has been making a good impression.
Yelper Elizabeth D., who reviewed Cantina Laredo on April 28, wrote, "The guacamole was exceptional and I recommend it to new patrons because it was made fresh right in front of us at our table (and it was just so delicious). I might also add that the churros at the end were phenomenal."
Yelper Bill D. wrote, "Decent tacos at $2 each, had one of each of the four available. Salsas are good, one mild and one spicy, chips good. Chili con queso decent. Margaritas, either over ice or frozen are strong enough and delicious."
