The Glendale varsity baseball team couldn’t come up with any answers yesterday against Crescenta Valley, falling 7-0 to the visiting Falcons. It was the Nitros’ fifth scoreless game of the season.
The mismatched outcome mirrors the teams’ conference records: Crescenta Valley is 11-0 and Glendale is 0-11. The Nitros have now lost 14 straight games, allowing 98 runs against them in that time while only scoring 19 times.
With the win, the Falcons improved to 20-4 on the season. The Nitros slipped to 3-18. The two teams will meet again on Friday, May 4 at Stengel Field in Glendale at 7 p.m.
