Craving Vietnamese sandwiches? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Crispy Banh Mi, the newcomer is located at 2934 Shamrock Dr. in Plaza-Shamrock.
This is the second outpost for the family-owned business, which specializes in Vietnamese sandwiches and desserts. According to its website, Crispy Banh Mi debuted its first eatery at 5100 S. Blvd. back in June 2016.
The menu offers 12 different kinds of banh mi sandwiches, including grilled chicken, barbecue pork, crispy fried fish, grilled beef and more. Additionally, there are two noodle bowls along with appetizers, like egg rolls, crispy quail, cajun fries and more.

Crispy Banh Mi has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp.
Elise W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 28, said, "Yes!!!! This is exactly what this area needs! I have been in here twice now in the past two weeks and have been more than happy each time. The first time the staff were very attentive in explaining the menu."
Yelper Kristin D. added, “I tried Crispy Banh Mi, per the recommendation of a friend. The staff are super friendly and exude the hospitality that one should find at a new business. Each person was treated as a new customer!”
And Amber S. said, "I've been awaiting the opening of Crispy Banh Mi! I ordered the grilled pork banh mi (my usual) and it met all my expectations and more. I noticed the bread was way softer than more places I visit so that was a plus."
