Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top gastropubs in Cleveland, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to get crave-worthy meals and beers to match.
1. Tremont Taphouse

Topping the list is Tremont Taphouse, a popular destination with an outdoor patio located at 2572 Scranton Road. Named the best bar in Ohio by Thrillist, the Tremont spot is the highest rated gastropub in Cleveland, boasting four stars out of 399 reviews on Yelp.
Stop by for Sunday brunch with offerings like buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy, braised beef hash and a chorizo burrito with eggs, goat cheese and roasted red peppers. The everyday menu includes mussels and fries, wild mushroom pizza, burgers, salads and an Ohio bone-in pork chop with bacon fennel relish. The impressive list of drafts features a Belgian amber with notes of caramel and dried fruit, a red rye ale and an oatmeal stout brewed with freshly ground espresso.
2. Rowley Inn

Next up is Rowley Inn, another Tremont gastropub that's situated at 1104 Rowley Ave., across the street from the Christmas Story House. With 4.5 stars out of 83 reviews on Yelp, the cozy neighborhood spot has proven to be a local favorite.
Featuring happy hour specials from 3-7 p.m. weekdays and all day Tuesday, you can get a half-pound cheeseburger and fries for only $6. The menu is extensive and includes items just for kids plus several adults-only beers, hard ciders and specialty cocktails. Try the Reuben dip with craft beer cheese, Polish boy with smoked kielbasa and coleslaw, or the shrimp and grits.
3. McNulty's Bier Markt

Ohio City's McNulty's Bier Markt, located at 1948 W. 25th St., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the Belgian beer bar four stars out of 156 reviews.
Sample one of more than 100 Belgian and American craft beers with dozens of rotating drafts. If you get hungry, McNulty's has you covered with crispy polenta fries, lamb meatballs, burgers, salads and house-made pastas like the spaetzle with pancetta, poached egg and pecorino Romano.
4. Local West

Finally, there's Local West, a fast-casual beer bistro that serves burgers and more in the Detroit Shoreway. With four stars out of 104 Yelp reviews, head over to 7400 Detroit Ave. to try the signature sandwiches for yourself. Yelp reviewer Annie D. says, "The menu is fresh, unique and offers something for everyone."
Offering an outdoor patio and using only Ohio-sourced meats, there are 10 beef burgers such as the mac and cheese with crumbled bacon, plus salmon and chicken options. Signature eats and sides include the jalapeño slaw, salmon sandwich on nine-grain bread, grilled octopus salad and chicken chili poutine.
