A new spot to score made-to-order fast food has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 1239 Mt. Olivet Road NE in Trinidad, the new addition is called Texas Chicken & Burgers.

With locations across New York and Philadelphia, this eatery serves up down-home Southern-style cooking in the form of burgers, chicken, salads and more.

The restaurant chain says its halal meat arrives fresh every morning and comes from farms where the animals are ethically housed and fed a grain-based diet.

Menu offerings include two-, three- or four-piece chicken biscuit meals; the Texas Cheeseburger seasoned with pepper and salt plus all the fixings; and a selection of sides like mozzarella sticks and mac and cheese. (You can check out the menu here.)

Texas Chicken & Burgers has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Mohammed V., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 15, said, "The best chicken and burgers in town, good for friends and families. Especially the spicy burger and the spicy tenders, amazing! The place is nice and clean, and the workers are friendly."

"Great little spot for an affordable carryout chicken box," added Yelper Jamila M. "I had a grilled chicken salad that was surprisingly fresh and came with a ton of chicken. My only complaint is that it was actually very healthy tasting! Not too much salt (which is probably a desirable thing for most people eating salads). I will definitely be a regular."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Texas Chicken & Burgers is open from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday–Thursday and 10 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday.
