Yesterday, the Glendale Nitros lost on the road against Arcadia’s varsity softball team. The Apaches won the May 1 contest by a score of 6-2.
Glendale drew first blood, going up 1-0 in the second inning; however, Arcadia batted in three runs in the third and never looked back. The Nitros’ four errors didn’t help their cause.
With the loss, Glendale dropped to 12-7-1 on the season, with a 5-6 league record. Arcadia, on the other hand, has a worse season record (10-8), but a better Pacific Southern Section league record than the Nitros. The team has won its last five games, and at 7-4, the Apaches are battling Burbank for third place in the section.
Tomorrow, May 3, the Nitros take on the Pasadena Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. at home in Glendale.
