Yesterday, the visiting Hoover Tornadoes secured a road win against the Pasadena Bulldogs in a battle of ailing varsity softball teams. The score of the Tuesday, May 1 game was 8-7.
By the end of the third inning, Hoover had chiseled itself a 7-3 lead; however, by the end of the fifth inning, the Bulldogs had nipped their way to a 7-7 tie. In the sixth, the Tornadoes mustered another run, which was enough to secure a victory.
With the win, Hoover improved to 4-14 on the season, while Pasadena fell to 3-11. On Thursday, May 3 at 3:30 p.m., the Tornadoes will play at home against the Burbank Bulldogs, who have a 12-10 season record.
