A new upscale Mediterranean-style restaurant has opened up in the neighborhood. Located at 1714 Connecticut Ave. NW, the fresh addition is called Barrafina Bar & Grill and has taken up residence in the spot formerly occupied by Spanish restaurant Madrid in Dupont Circle.
The menu includes grilled fare found throughout Greece, Italy and southern France ranging from black ink linguine with seafood and spaghetti bolognese to souvlaki and crispy calamari, Eater reports.
An assortment of handcrafted cocktails, like the Malta Mojito, are also available, as well as an extensive wine selection.
Barrafina Bar & Grill has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Santo M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 24, said, "Amazing food, service and staff! I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend this place!"
