Looking to chow down on reimagined American fare? A new spot has you covered. Located at 730 S. University Blvd. in Bonnie Brae, the fresh arrival is called Brightmarten.
Executive chef Jake Grant is serving up fancy versions of American comfort foods like nachos, Caesar salad, burgers and mushroom risotto along with some surprises, such as a beet and beef tartare.
With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new bar seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Yelper Jennaleigh M., who was the first to review Brightmarten on April 27, said, “Delicious food, amazing drinks and great atmosphere! I'm not a huge fan of whiskey but their drink The LT was so smooth and so good!”
And Megan E. added, "We love this place! Just opened and the staff and service could not be better. I had a strawberry blonde, spicy and great. The food was awesome. I loved the Caesar salad with shrimp and fried deviled eggs."
