A new Mexican-style brewery kicks off its grand opening on Cinco de Mayo weekend. Called Cervecería Colorado, the new offshoot of Denver Beer Co. is located at 1635 Platte St. in Highland.

Cervecería brews and serves beer created as a collaboration with Mexican breweries, Denverite reports. With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, Cervecería has already made a good impression during its soft opening.

"Some of the best beers and service I have ever had! Ethan was super welcoming and knowledgeable," said Yelper Maggie W., who was the first to review the new bar on April 27. "Highly recommend the poblano pilsner and tequila barrel-aged saison."

Yelper Emily B. added, "Great Mexican-inspired beers and super cool funky space. The bar and patio are so bright and colorful it's impossible to not have a good time!"

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Cerveceria Colorado is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday.
