In search of an affordable cocktail bar with a rooftop patio? Look no further than American Bonded, a new watering hole at 2706 Larimer St. in RiNo.
“All of us are such geeks about booze, but we’re also trying to buck this trend of escalating prices,” co-owner Justin Anthony tells Eater, which reports most of the bar's mixed drinks are priced under $10.
Featuring a long bar and a relaxed, urban vibe, American Bonded focuses on classic cocktail creations like the mint julep, Old-Fashioned and the Casino (gin, maraschino liqueur, lemon and orange bitters).
Former food truck J Street is serving “classic Americana Low Country food with a little spin on it,” like green chile mac and cheese, a charcuterie board and chicken and waffles, per 303 Magazine.
With three reviews on Yelp thus far, American Bonded currently has a 4.5-star rating.
"If you're looking for somewhere sexy to drink affordable delicious cocktails — come here now!" said Rachelle B., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on May 5. "We enjoyed the Mint Julep, Old-Fashioned and Zen Collins (which the bartender said was their version of a Moscow mule). The service was great, the patrons are all beautiful and the drinks are under $10 a pop."
Shawn L. added, "We sat right at the bar and chatted a bit with the bartender, Mitch, who was super helpful, friendly and informative. He helped us navigate the drink menu and find drinks that each of us would enjoy, and we enjoyed everything we tried. Cocktails and beers are all reasonably priced and so delicious!"
