
Hungry for fresh fish? A new Japanese spot in Belltown has you covered. The newcomer is called Aburiya Bento House and is located at 2100 Western Ave. (at Lenora Street).
Near Pike Place Market, Aburiya Bento House is a sushi bar offering poke, bento and traditional Japanese fare.
Start off with appetizers like the crawfish wasabi salad, tempura udon or dumplings. Try a classic roll with tuna, salmon or shrimp tempura, or pick from over a dozen types of nigiri ranging from albacore and shrimp to octopus, sea urchin and squid. There are also 10 bento boxes and three poke bowls to choose from on Aburiya Bento House's menu. Ask your server which beer, saké or wine pairs best with your meal.
The new sushi bar has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 22 reviews on Yelp.
Grace S., who visited Aburiya Bento House on May 5, noted: "Delicious! Awesome place with great quality food in a convenient location! I recommend the Aburi Nigiri Box!"
And Stephen P. said, "Best poke in Seattle. The sushi is better than Umi Sake House and Shiro's here in Belltown. Great gyoza and shumai as appetizers. Try the Mini Aburi Tower on the happy hour menu."
