The Providence varsity softball team narrowly lost Tuesday's home conference game against Oakwood by a score of 11-9.
It was Oakwood’s second win against the Pioneers this season. The Gorillas also won on April 13 by a score of 5-1, and the team has a 5-4 season record. With the loss, Providence slouched to a 4-8 overall record, and the team is 1-3 in league play.
The Providence Pioneers’ next game is against the 14-3 San Gabriel Mission Pioneers on Monday, May 7 at 3:15 p.m.
