1. Map of Thailand

Topping the list is Map of Thailand at 3710 Payne Ave., Suite 106, in AsiaTown. Boasting 4.5 stars out of 166 reviews on Yelp, it's the highest rated Thai restaurant in Cleveland. The charming space with deep purple tablecloths opened back in 2011. On the menu, try the golden bags (fried tofu filled with shrimp, chicken and veggies), papaya salad, crispy tamarind duck or the Full Moon Party with a mix of seafood and veggies in a spicy basil sauce. Wash down your meal with mango juice, the sunset-colored Thai iced tea or homemade limeade.
2. Siam Cafe

Next up is AsianTown's Siam Cafe, situated at 3951 St. Clair Ave NE. With four stars out of 196 reviews on Yelp, the Thai and Asian fusion spot has proven popular. Start off your meal with the pan-fried dumplings or stuffed crab claws. The eclectic, seafood-heavy menu features fresh lobster made to order with black bean sauce, ginger and scallions, or basil and chiles. Or opt for unexpected fare like the frog with lemongrass or the cumin-spiced lamb.
3. Banana Blossom Thai Cuisine

Over in Ohio City, Banana Blossom Thai Cuisine is another go-to, with four stars out of 147 Yelp reviews. Located in an unassuming spot at 2800 Clinton Ave. (at 28th Street) in a bright yellow building, Banana Blossom is known for its authentic level of spice, with Yelp reviewers urging caution for those with sensitive palates. Stop in Tremont to check out Ty Fun Thai Bistro, which has earned four stars out of 135 reviews on Yelp. The Thai spot at 815 Jefferson Ave. features a small patio and a cozy indoor dining area with bar.
