There's a brand-new craft cocktail bar in town that's serving up 10 signature drinks in a funky, eclectic space. The new arrival to Fremont, called Stampede Cocktail Club, is located at 119 N. 36th St. (between Palatine and First avenues).
The new bar — in the spot formerly occupied by The Helm — comes courtesy of barman Paul Shanrock, who has been making the rounds in the Seattle bar scene for the past five years, Eater reports.
Hancock has transformed the interior with a tin ceiling and chandeliers in the main bar area and palm frond wallpaper and a mounted dinosaur head in a tiki-themed room. There's also a large patio complete with paper lanterns and casual seating.
On the cocktail menu, try creative libations like the Thieves Guild (Jamaican rum, Lustau brandy and absinthe) or Dark Nostalgia (Cynar, Punt e Mes, grapefruit, cinnamon and Topo Chico mineral water).
Need a snack? Choose from four types of steamed dumplings — chicken, pork, veggie and shrimp — or fill up with 10 for $7.
The fresh arrival has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Marqise A., who was the first to review Stampede on May 1, said, “This place just opened, but it has now become my favorite Fremont bar. The drinks are on point, the eclectic vibe is fantastic, music/ambiance was great and you can't beat 10 dumplings for $7. Never thought cocktails and dumplings would pair so well."
And Christina L. said, "Staff were all friendly and helpful! Everyone was in love with the cocktails and the dumplings came with three sauces, all which were delicious. Wonderful addition to Fremont!"
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Stampede Cocktail Club is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
