A new Chinese spot, offering barbecue and noodles, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Taste Of Xi'an (not to be confused with Xi'an Noodles), the new arrival is located at 4523 University Way NE. (between 45th and 47th streets) in the University District.

As its name indicates, the restaurant specializes in classic street fare from Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province in China and the home of the terracotta warriors.

On the menu, look for the roujiamo, a popular braised pork sandwich; a wide range of noodles, including cold, pulled and stir-fried; and cumin lamb and fish skewers.

With a three-star rating out of 50 reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition has received mixed feedback—but it's still early days.

Feng Z. wrote, "This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Seattle so far. The decoration reminds me of the restaurants I [went to] when I was in Xi'an. The food is very authentic and taste great. The spicy dishes are amazing."

And Phandat T. said, "First thing I noticed about this place is how open and beautiful the layout is! I love the open kitchen concept where you're able to see the chefs grill and prepare your food for you through the window."

Head on over to check it out: Taste Of Xi'an is open from 11:45 a.m.–2:45 p.m. and 5:30–10 p.m. on weekdays, 11:45 a.m.–10 p.m. on Saturday, and 11:45 a.m.–11 p.m. on Sunday.
