The Venice varsity softball team won Wednesday's home conference game against rival school Palisades by a score of 15-0.

Although the Dolphins also lost to the Gondoliers back on April 9, the May 2 scoreline was drastically more lopsided than the teams’ previous contest, when Palisades fell 9-8 in extra innings.

Prior to Wednesday’s loss, the Palisades girls had been on a five-game winning streak. The Dolphins finished their season 10-8, with a 9-3 league record.

Venice, on the other hand, were also on a five-game winning streak going into Wednesday’s game against the Dolphins. With the win, Venice ended the regular season with a 20-5-1 record, going 11-1 in league play.
