Looking to get out and into the community this weekend?

From a wellness festival to a neighborhood cleanup to an LGBTQ fundraiser, there are plenty of community-driven events coming up around Cleveland this weekend. Read on for a rundown.

Global Wellness Day in Fairfax

Join the Fairfax community for a full day dedicated to community wellness and art.

The festivities begin at Olivet Institutional Church and University Hospitals Otis Moss Jr. Health Center, where you'll find a slew of free wellness resources — including produce, reusable shopping bags and health screenings — as well as family-friendly activities and sports, like tai chi, kick-boxing and frisbee.

Then at noon, all are invited to bike or walk down to the Cleveland Museum of Art's Parade the Circle event — an art-filled procession that attracts more than 80,000 people each year.

Ohio City cleanup

Do your part to keep Ohio City clean and green by joining Ohio City Incorporated's neighborhood cleanup.

All are invited to Fairview Park to pick up supplies and refreshments, then head out into the community in groups to beautify the neighborhood. After the work is done, volunteers will reconvene at ABC Tavern for a celebratory happy hour.

Yoga, cocktail party for the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland

In honor of Pride month, head down to Tremont Athletic Club for a yoga and cocktail experience benefiting the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland. You'll start with an hour-long yoga flow, then enjoy cocktails on the club's rooftop.

Day of Play with Fairhill Partners

With the lack of recess in many local schools, the young professional network ClevelandGives is teaming with the nonprofit senior community Fairhill Partners to host a Day of Play for community members of all ages.

Volunteers will help facilitate a variety of intergenerational games, like kickball and dodgeball, and fresh interactive activities like bubble soccer.
