Toasted
1424 14th St., Downtown

Toasted is a fast-food spot that specializes in creatively topped toasts.
The menu includes salmon lox toast: cream cheese, arugula, sliced tomato, purple onion and smoked salmon on French bread. Craving something sweet? Try the Chunky Monkey Toast: peanut butter, bananas, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, cinnamon and honey on honey wheat toast.
With a four-star Yelp rating out 19 reviews, Toasted has been getting positive attention.
Yelper Tracy R. wrote, "These suckers are piled with at least seven fresh ingredients. My current favorite: Pear-fect Date Toast with almond butter, sliced pear, chopped dates, Gorgonzola cheese, honey and cinnamon on whole-grain toast. Then, they give you a fresh salad that you didn't order but tastes amazing."

In the mood for chicken? Fast-food franchise Chick-fil-A, with locations across the country, has opened a new outpost on the city's south side.
Specializing in a simple recipe — breaded, boneless chicken breast between two buttered buns, the eatery also offers grilled sandwiches, wraps and salads. Milkshakes, ice cream cones and chocolate chunk cookies are also available.
Chick-fil-A currently holds four stars out of 37 reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.
Yelper Ha T., who was one of the first users to visit the eatery on May 19, wrote, "Chick-fil-A always has amazing service. The workers are always super polite and kind. Lines may get very long at times but it goes by quick!"
Kerith H. noted, "Best fast-food restaurant hands down! The chicken is hand-breaded in the locations (not mass produced and frozen in a bag) and tastes fresh."
Chick-fil-A is open from 6:30 a.m.–10 p.m. from Monday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
Sac City Brews
3940 60th St., Tahoe Park South

Sac City Brews is a traditional American bar that serves comfort fusion food.
The menu includes chicken kebabs (grilled chicken, shawarma sauce, mixed greens and Sriracha), a Reuben with housemade red cabbage slaw, sweet potato fries and a grilled cheese with whole-milk mozzarella, pepper jack, sharp cheddar and Swiss cheeses.
The bar has 16 local and national craft beers on tap, like local West Sac outfit Jackrabbit Brewing Co.'s Paint The Town red IPA. Kombucha, ciders, barley wine and mead are also available.
Sac City Brews is off to a strong start with 4.5 stars out of 45 reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Lynn H. wrote, "The outdoor patio is pretty cool and dog friendly too. Most things on tap are California based, if not straight from Sacramento. I got barbecue chicken fries off of the specials menu and the fried mac and cheese balls. Both were delicious."
Yelper Noelle D. wrote, "We ordered the chicken nachos and the SCB Grilled Cheese. The food was absolutely delectable, you could tell the kitchen took their time and created each entrée with the freshest ingredients and complemented it with the best cheeses!"
