Brewers at 4001 Yancey recently made its debut on the South End in the historic Bower’s Mill building.

The craft brewery and taproom has outdoor seating and features dozens of rotating beers and more than 120 tap handles. A joint venture of Southern Tier and Victory Brewing companies, the owners of the new business have  a combined 38 years of experience in the brewing industry, per its Facebook page.

Noteworthy menu items include the house-fried pork rinds, shaved rib-eye cheesesteak with hot cherry peppers and mushrooms, and the barbecue plate with pulled pork and ribs. Burgers, salads and cocktails are also on offer.

Brewers has one review so far from Taryn R.

She wrote, "Everything is bright, shiny and new. There were at least 20 Victory and Southern Tier beers on draft. I enjoyed the Hefeweizen and my hubby had a couple IPAs. There were saisons, Belgians, lagers and more on the list. Something for everyone!"

Brewers at 4001 Yancey is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Antonio C., who reviewed it on May 29, wrote, "This place was good. I'd honestly give it a three because of my barely cold, skunk line Blue Moon beer on tap, but my fish tacos were awesome."

Tom G. noted, "Very good selections of beer and booze. The tacos we had really good. Will be back."
