Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top breweries in Raleigh, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to grab a beer.

1. Brewery Bhavana

Topping the list is Brewery Bhavana. Located at 218 S. Blount St. downtown, the spot is the highest-rated brewery in Raleigh, boasting 4.5 stars out of 451 reviews on Yelp. The business features 10 core beers like the Till farmhouse ale, the Grove (a citrusy double IPA) and the Glean (a mango peppercorn saison) along with seasonal drafts. 

The cocktail list includes the Hurricane Mule, made with dark rum, passionfruit, fresh lemon juice and spicy ginger beer. 

2. Trophy Brewing Company

Next up is Hillsborough's Trophy Brewing Company, situated at 827 W. Morgan St. With four stars out of 405 reviews on Yelp, the brewery has proven to be a local favorite. The draft beer menu includes Mexican chocolate stout and a bourbon barrel-aged Irish stout. 

3. Clouds Brewing

North Central's Clouds Brewing, located at 126 N. West St., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the sports bar four stars out of 280 reviews. According to its website, the brewery offers "40-plus rotating taps with local and craft beer." Look for the Downpour wall, a series of 10 self-serve taps that highlight a different brewery each week.

4. Oak & Dagger Public House

Oak & Dagger Public House, a brewery in Mordecai, is another go-to, with four stars out of 155 Yelp reviews. Specialties include the Oak & Dagger Irish shine, which is inspired by Irish Moonshine, and made with one pound of potatoes per 1.5 gallons of beer. (Find the full menu here.) 5. Raleigh Brewing Company

Over in Wade, check out Raleigh Brewing Company, which has earned four stars out of 143 reviews on Yelp. On its website, the brewery says it has 32 taps flowing daily with its beer featured across the Triangle area and Wilmington. The beer menu includes English pub ale, Scottish export ale, coffee porter and more. You can find the brewery at 3709 Neil St.
