Streets Market is a grocery store that recently opened at 3427 Connecticut Ave. NW in Cleveland Park. The emphasis here is on organic, natural and everyday grocery items. Also available are prepared foods and an extensive beer and wine selection. This is the company's third location in D.C., after stores on 14th Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW.

Stop by 1317 14th St. NW in Logan Circle and you'll find the new Indian spot Pappe. The colorful, 85-seat restaurant comes courtesy of chefs Sanjay Mandhaiya and Shankar Puthran of Saffron in Falls Church, and first-time restaurateur Vipul Kapila, Eater reports. Signature entrees include the chicken tikka masala, a chicken pistachio korma, and a red snapper with black pepper, red chiles, curry leaves and garlic. The team at Pappe takes particular pride in its vindaloo, stating on its website that it "frankly ought to come with a fire extinguisher."

Milk Bar Flagship

New to Logan Circle: the flagship location for Milk Bar, located at 1525 15th St. NW. Established in New York by a North Virginia native, this is the dessert shop's third Washington location — behind spots in the CityCenterDC development and at the Wharf.

The nearly 2,400-square-foot flagship offers a roomy cafe space with the ability to host events and classes, and an innovation lab where guests can taste experimental recipes. And, like all of its locations, it serves pastries, cookies and cakes, soft-serve ice cream and other dairy-based treats.
