Laurel Tavern

Laurel Tavern is a gastropub, offering burgers and more. Established in California, this location is its first in Dallas and only third overall.
Dishes include the Tavern Burger (honey mustard, avocado, pickled red onion and shredded lettuce), Royale with Cheese burger (yellow cheddar, red onion, dill pickle, mustard and ketchup), Duck Club sandwich (duck confit, smoked bacon, pickled green tomato and cherry mustard) and the fried chicken salad. It also has a wine list (whites, red, sparkling and rosé), plus a list of house cocktails, such as the Lost in Translation (whiskey, Combier rose, lemon and rosemary) or the Blueberry Mojito (Cruzan rum, parfait amour, fresh blueberry, mint, lime and soda).
Yelpers are excited about Laurel Tavern, which currently holds five stars out of eight reviews on the site.
Poppy L., who reviewed the new arrival on June 6, wrote, "We ordered the blue cheese bacon burger with caramelized onions. The beef was cooked to perfection and was super moist. The garlic fries were so fresh and super flavorful."
Yelper Effie D. wrote, "We only got drinks, and they were generous. The staff was super friendly and generally attentive. The pineapple margarita was super spicy and not overly sweet. Loved the low-key vibe."

Smithy

Smithy is a restaurant and bar that serves New American fare and has a list of fine spirits and local drafts.
The menu includes items like the Hobo Dinner (fresh catch, fingerling potatoes, haricot vert and chive burre blanc), Luke's Hot Chicken (peri peri spice, gin pickles, white barbecue sauce, whipped potatoes and corn) and the Pig & Pear 2.0 panini (pork belly, pear chutney, pepper slaw and Sriracha mayo). Yelper Aisha P., who reviewed the newcomer on May 5, wrote, "It's laid back, has great music and [is] aesthetically pleasing ... Delicious food! I had the steak bruschetta as an appetizer and the short rib for my entree. My taste buds were happy!"

Salubrious Juice & More

Salubrious Juice & More is a cafe and vegan spot, offering juice, coffee, smoothies and more.
The entire menu is vegan, including the juices like the Mean Green (parsley, celery, cucumber, cilantro, apple and lemon), the Rise and Shine (carrots, orange, apple and lemon) and the Black Elixir (activated charcoal, Himalayan salt, apple and lemon).

Salubrious Juice & More has received one five-star review on Yelp.

Salubrious Juice & More is open from noon–6:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
The Merchant

The Merchant is a spot to score coffee and tea while you shop its greeting cards, stationery, books, bedding, candles and vintage goods. It's originally from Atlanta (with three locations there), but has now set up shop in Dallas. (You can check out the stationery and gift brands it carries here.)
With a 4.5-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp, The Merchant has been getting positive attention.
Yelper Jen S. wrote, "Staff is super friendly, yet chill. Nice laid-back vibe. Will definitely be back to check out the drinks."
