If bubble tea and sweet snacks are what you're after, look no further than this new tea shop. Called Tsaocaa, the new arrival is located at 4 W. University Parkway close to the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus, as we previously reported.

Tsaocaa's bubble tea drinks come in in flavors like passionfruit and lime, Uji matcha green tea, and sakura (cherry blossom) milk tea. Customers can adjust sweetness to taste, and ask for add-in ingredients such as strawberry boba and grass jelly. (Take a peek at the full menu here).

The café's signature dessert is Hong Kong-style eggettes. These crispy treats, also known as egg puffs, are made of waffle batter cooked into a shape reminiscent of oversized bubble wrap.

With a five-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, Tsaocaa seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

"I tried their king of milk tea with bubbles, and it tastes great!" said Xinting Y., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 21. "Price is reasonable, around 4-5 dollars for a medium to large sized bubble tea. ... Overall, as a bubble tea guru, I would highly recommend this place!"

Yelper Shirley N. added, “Great bubble tea place near Hopkins Homewood campus– didn't take pictures of the drinks cause we basically finished them before we got home.”

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new café to the neighborhood. Tsaocaa is open from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. daily.
