A new vegan restaurant has debuted in Bellingham. The fresh arrival to the Downtown Business District, called The Wild Oat Bakery & Cafe, is located at 1305 Cornwall Ave.
Everything on the menu at this new cafe is organic and vegan, and diners will find food from breakfast through dinner, with takeout as well. Some options include "beef" stew with vegetables and mushrooms, pesto focaccia, Asian sesame rice and quinoa bowls, biscuits and gravy and vegan cheesecake.
Gluten- and soy-free diners can find special menu options tailored to their needs. The cafe also offers catering, party trays and whole cakes to-go.
With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, The Wild Oat Bakery & Cafe is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Yelper bruce f. added, “I'm so happy! Finally, a vegan restaurant in Bellingham. The menu is great, the employees are wonderful and the food is fantastic! The Wild Oat is now our favorite restaurant in Bellingham.”
And Kymberli A. wrote, "I was so excited to come give this place a try, as there are NO vegan restaurants in Bellingham! I was so overwhelmed because the menu looked so enticing, but they said the French dip was a fan favorite, so I went for it. Was not disappointed!"
