Tastemakers provides commercial kitchen space for emerging food purveyors and a food hall where they can show it off. Housed in a former mayonnaise factory in Brookland, food options in the hall include coffee from Alchemist Coffee Company, bagels from Bullfrog, tacos from Taqueria del Barrio, and much more.

Yelp users are still warming up to Tastemakers, which currently holds three stars from just two reviews on the site.

Yelper Austin G., who reviewed Tastemakers on April 4, wrote, "On the outside, Tastemakers feels like a miniature Union Market. On the inside, it's a food hall with a mission. If you want a new, unique food experience in DC, head up to Brookland."

Damon E. noted, "I love the idea of Tastemakers, and that there's something like it in Brookland, but it needs improving.  The space is claustrophobic."

Yelper Kita B. wrote, "Walked in, and there was no line. Two very friendly staff members greeted me quickly. Food took a few minutes to come out, but my order was correct and everything was hot and fresh."

Tayo A. noted, "Average food and slow service, I probably won't be back."

BGR The Burger Joint is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.

Mister Rotisserie is a dining and takeout spot that recently debuted in Park View. According to its website, Mister Rotisserie takes a modern approach to classic Latin dishes. The kitchen specializes in charcoal-roasted rotisserie chicken, burgers, sandwiches and more, along with Latin American sides like rice, beans, fried yuka and tortillas. (Check out the full menu here.)
