A new taproom and restaurant called Hop Junction has debuted in the Pocket at 7600 Greenhaven Drive, Suite 20. The family-owned restaurant is the project of Jasdeep Purewal, as The Sacramento Bee reports.

The new bar has more than 20 craft beers on tap, from Alpine Beer's Willy (an American wheat ale) to Six River Brewery's Macadamia Nut Porter and more. The new spot also serves wine on tap.

On the menu are bar bites like burgers, fries and chicken wings, as well as a vegetarian roasted garlic and quinoa burger. (You can check out the food menu here and the drinks menu here.)

With a 4.5-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition is on its way to developing a local fan base.

"The service is prompt and the environment is great," said Daizy P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 31. "Above all the owner is great, welcoming, friendly and was able to help us pair our beers with the food."

And Terri I. declared, "I'd go back just for the onion rings."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Hop Junction is open from noon–10 p.m. daily except Tuesday.
