A new coffee roastery and café has debuted in Land Park. Located at 2940 Freeport Blvd. (across from Marie's Donuts), the new space for Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters joins two others in East Sac and downtown, offering coffee drinks and whole beans as well as tea and pastries.
Chocolate Fish specializes in single-source coffees from farms in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ethiopia and Brazil. It also sells loose leaf teas and home brewing equipment, and holds classes on coffee preparation and tasting.
The roastery's beans are available for sale at specialty grocers around the Sacramento, including Corti Brothers, New Earth Market and Whole Foods. (You can also check out the different coffees on offer at the business website.)
With 4.5 stars out of two reviews on Yelp, the new arrival seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Carla C., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on June 24, wrote, "Excellent service. And the coffee, same great taste as their other great locations. Pleasant seating area, benches outside."
"Very good customer service! Amazing lighting too and coffee is good," added Quin G., but warned prospective customers that there is no Wi-Fi available.
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters is open from 6:30 a.m.–5 p.m. daily.
