A new restaurant, Acova, has debuted in the trendy Highland neighborhood of northwest Denver and comes courtesy of the team behind The Hornet on South Broadway. Located at 3621 Navajo St., the address formerly occupied by Patsy's Inn for 95 years, Acova serves up New American cuisine and is looking to set itself apart from the former occupant.
Dishes include the bistro steak with whipped potatoes, haricot verts, mushrooms, demi glace and onion strings; the Fisherman's Stew with mussels, calamari, crab, cod, onions, white beans, saffron tomato broth and an herb baguette; and veal osso bucco with Parmesan polenta, spicy greens and gremolata.
With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, Acova seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Yelper Adam P., who was the first to review the new restaurant on May 23, said, “Off to a great start! We wandered in on opening night and were treated to some excellent mules and great service. The vibe was casual and comfortable.”
Holly S. added, "The wings and pierogies were to die for! We also got the caprese salad, which was so fresh and delicious, and the shaved kale salad with ahi. Both were amazing. The drinks are also on point. The huckleberry vodka and lavender mint lemonade is literally what dreams are made of."
Interested in trying them out? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Acova is open from 11 a.m.–midnight on weekdays and 10 a.m.–midnight on weekends.
