A new Thai spot has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called It's Thai Casual Dining, the new addition is located at 1070 Wilshire Blvd. in Westlake.

On the menu, expect to find an assortment of classic Thai staples like curry noodle soup, fresh summer rolls with Thai-style tofu and tom kha — the popular coconut milk soup prepared with mushrooms, lemon grass, green onions, kaffir lime leaf, chiles and galangal.

For dessert, try some coconut ice cream, fried bananas or seasonal mango sticky rice. (You can view the full menu here.)

With a four-star rating out of 21 reviews on Yelp so far, It's Thai Casual Dining has received a good response.

TheFlying M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 14, said, "Fresh and tasty. The prik king with chicken is delightfully spiced with crisp and fresh carrots and green beans. The atmosphere is nice, but typically loud."

"Great food and service — we so needed a Thai restaurant in this area," said Yelper Roco L. "Great spot for a quick, relaxing lunch."

Head on over to check it out: It's Thai Casual Dining is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on weekdays and noon–10 p.m. on weekends.
